MOXI Aftercare

  • Temporary warmth, swelling, and redness can occur. Redness may last up to 7 days, depending on treatment intensity. A clean, cool compress can help with comfort.
  • Begin gentle cleansing the morning after treatment. Use lukewarm water and clean fingertips; pat dry. Do not scrub or use cleansing brushes.
  • Apply your recommended moisturizer with clean hands and reapply when dry. Use only approved recovery products.
  • Tiny dark specks, called MENDs, and a rough or bronzed texture can develop as skin heals. Let them shed naturally; do not pick, scratch, or exfoliate.
  • Start an approved mineral broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher the next day. Reapply during sun exposure. Wear a hat and protective clothing and avoid direct sun.
  • Wait at least 24 hours before makeup, and longer if skin is not intact or your plan requires it.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise and sweating for at least 24 hours. Ask when to resume heat exposure, swimming, and your usual actives, including tretinoin and acids.
  • Follow prescribed antivirals as directed. Report excessive swelling, pus, fever, increasing warmth, or extreme itching promptly.

BBL HEROic Aftercare

  • Temporary warmth and redness can occur. Treated brown spots may darken before gradually flaking or fading. Do not pick or scrub them.
  • Cleanse gently twice daily with lukewarm water. Use clean fingertips and pat dry; avoid exfoliating cleansers and brushes.
  • Moisturize with the products recommended in your plan. A clean, cool compress can help with warmth or swelling.
  • Use broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher from the day of treatment and reapply during sun exposure. Avoid direct sun for 14 days and wear a hat or protective clothing.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise and sweating until healed. Avoid irritating heat, hot water, pools, spas, and shaving while recovering.
  • Keep retinoids, acids, and exfoliants paused until your provider clears their return.
  • Makeup may be possible sooner after BBL alone when skin is intact and cleared. If combined with MOXI, follow the combined treatment instructions instead.
  • Face recovery commonly takes about a week; body areas can take longer. Contact us immediately for blistering or broken skin.

Microneedling Aftercare

  • For the first 24 hours, use only the specific post-treatment products approved in your plan. Hypochlorous acid spray or recovery balm should be used only if we have approved that exact product; do not add other skincare.
  • No makeup for 48 hours, and longer if skin remains irritated or unhealed.
  • Begin an approved mineral SPF 50 after 24–48 hours, when cleared. Until then, prioritize shade and a hat. Around day 4–5, ask about returning to your usual SPF if your skin is calm.
  • Wear a hat and avoid direct sun for at least 7 days; continue daily sun protection afterward.
  • Redness often improves over the first 72 hours, but recovery varies. Contact us if redness worsens or is not settling.
  • Avoid excessive heat and sweating for at least 48 hours, including saunas, hot baths/showers, hot yoga, and workouts. Wait longer if skin is still irritated.
  • No retinol, tretinoin, acids, or exfoliants for 7–10 days and until cleared. Coordinate restarting prescription products with your clinician.
  • Minimize touching your face. Do not pick, scrub, or pull peeling skin.
  • Avoid facial waxing for at least 7 days and until fully healed and cleared.
  • Sleep on a clean pillowcase. Keep your phone and anything touching your face clean.
  • Avoid chlorine and swimming for at least 7 days and until skin has healed.
  • Follow your recommended home routine. We are happy to help with product recommendations.
  • Your next treatment is usually planned for 4–6 weeks, depending on healing and your individual plan.

Peel Aftercare

For The Perfect Derma Peel: the patient take-home kit controls the timing of washing, towelettes, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Do not replace its schedule with a generic routine or add products immediately after application.

  • No makeup for at least 24 hours; wait longer if your written plan requires it or skin is not ready.
  • Use an approved broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily once the kit permits sunscreen, generally beginning the next day. Wear a hat and stay in shade beforehand.
  • Redness and sensitivity should gradually settle, but may last beyond 48 hours. Peeling commonly begins around day 3 and may continue through day 7.
  • Avoid heat, sweating, saunas, hot baths/showers, hot yoga, and workouts for at least 48 hours and throughout peeling until healed.
  • No retinol, tretinoin, acids, or exfoliants for at least 7 days and until peeling has ended and you are cleared. Use kit towelettes only on their prescribed schedule.
  • Do not pick, scrub, or pull skin. Keep hands away from your face.
  • Avoid direct sun for at least 7 days; continue careful protection while recovering.
  • No facial waxing for at least 2 weeks and until fully healed.
  • Use a clean pillowcase and keep your phone and other face-contact items clean.
  • No chlorine or swimming for at least 7 days and until completely healed.
  • Follow your take-home routine; ask us for product guidance.
  • Discuss your next peel with us. The Perfect Derma Peel is generally spaced 4–6 weeks apart; other peels have different schedules.
