MOXI: a closer look at tone and texture.

A fractional, nonablative laser option for selected concerns, with a plan shaped around your skin and your schedule.

What is MOXI?

MOXI delivers fractional, nonablative laser energy. It is used to improve the appearance of uneven tone, texture, and early visible sun damage. Treatment settings and suitability depend on an individual assessment.

What should I expect?

After treatment, skin can feel warm and look red. Tiny dark specks and a bronzed, rough feel may develop as treated skin turns over. The intensity and recovery window vary with your plan; give your skin gentle care and protect it from sun exposure.

Is MOXI right for everyone?

No. We ask about recent sun exposure, tanning, medications, pigment history, melasma, and healing before recommending a treatment. Some concerns need a different approach or a dermatologist’s evaluation.

Hawaii note: A realistic sun protection plan matters before and after any laser treatment, especially if you spend time outdoors.

What about darker skin tones?

Skin tone and a history of postinflammatory hyperpigmentation affect treatment planning. A consultation is essential; no device is equally appropriate at every setting for every person.

Who may qualify & skin-tone suitability

MOXI can be considered across light through deep skin tones. Settings and pigment history still matter; recent tanning, melasma, or a tendency to develop dark marks need careful assessment.

How to prepare

Protect skin from sun and tanning. Bring your product and medication list; ask when to pause tretinoin, retinol, exfoliating acids, and other irritating actives. Tell us about cold sores, recent procedures, or healing concerns.

Aftercare & returning to your routine

Begin gentle cleansing the morning after treatment; moisturize with recommended products. Use mineral broad-spectrum SPF 30+ from the next day, plus shade and a hat. Do not scrub or pick the rough, dark specks. Avoid strenuous exercise and sweating for at least 24 hours. Makeup may resume after 24 hours if skin is intact and your provider agrees. Restart actives only when cleared.

Your written treatment plan sets your stop and restart dates. Do not stop prescribed medication on your own. Tell us about pregnancy or breastfeeding, medication changes, cold sores, recent treatments, sun exposure, and any new skin irritation before your visit.
