What does BBL HEROic do?
BBL HEROic is a broadband light treatment used to improve the appearance of certain sun spots, freckles, and redness. It is different from MOXI’s fractional laser energy. We assess each concern before choosing whether light treatment fits.
What happens afterward?
Temporary warmth and redness can occur. Some treated brown spots may darken before gradually flaking or fading. Individual response varies, and sun protection is part of aftercare.
What does it not automatically solve?
Not every dark mark is sun damage. Melasma and postinflammatory hyperpigmentation require careful assessment and may need a different plan. A new, changing, bleeding, or suspicious spot should be evaluated by a dermatologist before cosmetic treatment.

Who may qualify & skin-tone suitability
BBL needs particular caution in darker skin tones and tanned skin; it is not automatically suitable for every complexion. The target, pigment history, medications, and settings determine whether another modality is preferable.
How to prepare
Limit direct sun for 2–4 weeks and avoid tanning. A provider may pause retinoids and exfoliants for a few days; confirm your own timing. Disclose photosensitizing medication, current or recent isotretinoin, and healing conditions.
Aftercare & returning to your routine
Cleanse gently, moisturize, and use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily. Avoid direct sun for 14 days. Let darkened spots shed naturally. Avoid exfoliants, irritating products, swimming pools, spas, and strenuous sweating while healing. Ask when to restart actives. Contact us promptly for blistering or broken skin.
