The Perfect Derma Peel in Pearl City, with treatment planning centered on your skin and your goals.

The Perfect Derma Peel

12 Two Skin Club offers The Perfect Derma Peel as part of personalized skin care plans for clients from Honolulu and across Oʻahu. We begin with a consultation to discuss your goals and whether a peel is a suitable choice.

What does a chemical peel do?

A chemical peel applies a solution to exfoliate the skin. Depending on the peel and individual assessment, it may improve the appearance of uneven tone, texture, and fine lines. Your treatment plan should account for your skin’s sensitivity and pigment history.

What should I expect afterward?

Redness, dryness, and visible peeling can occur. Recovery depends on the treatment and your skin. We explain expected changes and provide aftercare instructions, including sun protection and guidance on products during recovery.

What if I have melasma or sensitive skin?

Share your history at the consultation. These concerns need individual assessment; a peel is not an automatic choice. We may recommend a different approach or medical evaluation when appropriate.

Peels or microneedling?

A peel exfoliates chemically, while microneedling uses fine needles. Your goals and recovery preferences help guide the decision.

Who may qualify & skin-tone suitability

The manufacturer includes all skin tones, with individual screening for pigment risk. Pregnancy/breastfeeding, salicylate or ingredient allergy, vitiligo, keloids, active irritation/infection, and isotretinoin within four months exclude treatment under its guidance. Immune conditions need medical clearance.

How to prepare

Pause topical retinoids and AHAs/BHAs for at least 3 days, with prescriber guidance for prescriptions. Avoid shaving for 24 hours; waxing, electrolysis, tanning and self-tanner for 2 weeks; and resurfacing/other chemical exfoliation for 4 weeks. Avoid heavy sun for 2 weeks. Disclose cold sores.

Aftercare & returning to your routine

Follow the take-home kit’s exact schedule for washing, towelettes, moisturizer, and SPF; do not add products immediately after application. Peeling often starts around day 3 and finishes around day 7. Do not pull skin, scrub, or use tretinoin/acids while peeling. Avoid sweating, hot yoga, saunas, hot tubs, and swimming until healed. Resume actives only when cleared.

Your written treatment plan sets your stop and restart dates. Do not stop prescribed medication on your own. Tell us about pregnancy or breastfeeding, medication changes, cold sores, recent treatments, sun exposure, and any new skin irritation before your visit.
