What the Hawaii sun can leave behind.

Visible sun damage can show up as uneven color and texture long after the original exposure.

Why now?

Sun exposure adds up over time. Spots and texture changes may become more noticeable years later, while day-to-day exposure continues to matter on Oʻahu.

Start with protection

Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen, seek shade, and wear protective clothing. Sunscreen helps prevent further UV damage; it does not instantly erase existing visible changes.

What can treatment do?

Depending on your concern and skin history, a plan may include skincare, a suitable chemical peel, microneedling, MOXI, or selected BBL treatments. BBL requires particular caution with darker skin tones. A provider should assess unfamiliar or changing spots before cosmetic treatment.
